How do I respond to a chargeback on Stripe or Shopify Payments?

Respond before the deadline shown in your payment dashboard with a short rebuttal that answers the specific reason code, plus evidence such as the order record, tracking with delivery confirmation, customer messages and the policy the customer agreed to. Processors usually allow one submission, so send the complete set at once. This pack, for merchants, turns your files into a reason-code rebuttal, an evidence index and paste-ready text that you submit yourself.

How it works

  1. Pay US$49 at checkout, then email us the dispute notice, including the reason code and deadline.
  2. Send the order record, tracking and delivery confirmation, customer messages and your refund or shipping policy.
  3. We match your files to what the card network and processor expect for that reason code.
  4. We write a rebuttal that answers the customer's claim point by point.
  5. We build an evidence index that ties each claim to a named file.
  6. You receive the rebuttal, index and paste-ready form text within 12 hours.
  7. You upload the files and paste the text into Stripe, Shopify Payments or PayPal yourself before the deadline.

What it isn't

Sample excerpt

Fictional example. The merchant, customer and figures below are invented to show the format. Reason code: Visa 10.4, Other Fraud: Card-Absent Environment Amount: US$186.00, order #10482 (fictional) Argument summary: The cardholder says they did not make this purchase. The order shipped to the billing address on file and was delivered with a signature in the cardholder's surname. The same device ID and IP address were used on two earlier undisputed orders placed 140 and 310 days before this one. Evidence index: 1. Order record with IP address and device ID (order_10482.pdf) 2. Carrier proof of delivery with signature (pod_10482.pdf) 3. Two earlier undisputed orders with matching device and IP (prior_orders.pdf) 4. Checkout page showing the refund policy (policy_checkout.png) Paste-ready text: This purchase was made by the cardholder. The order was shipped to the billing address and delivered with a signature (file 2). The device ID and IP address match two earlier undisputed orders from the same cardholder (file 3). We ask that the dispute be decided in the merchant's favor.

Questions

How long do I have to respond to a chargeback?

Usually somewhere between 7 and 21 days, depending on the processor, card network and reason code. The exact deadline is shown on the dispute in your Stripe, Shopify or PayPal dashboard. If you miss it, the dispute is normally decided against you automatically. Order this pack with at least two days left so you have time to review and submit.

Do you need access to my Stripe or Shopify account?

No. You email us the dispute notice and your files, and we never ask for passwords or dashboard access. We return a rebuttal, an evidence index and paste-ready text. You stay in control of the account and submit everything yourself through the processor's dispute form before the deadline shown on the dispute.

What if my evidence is weak?

We tell you plainly. Every pack includes a note on weak spots and a list of any missing evidence you could still collect, such as delivery confirmation or the customer's written messages. Sometimes accepting the dispute is cheaper than fighting it, and the note helps you decide. We never create, alter or backdate documents.

Can you promise I will get the money back?

No. The cardholder's bank makes the decision, so nobody can promise the result. What we promise is delivery: a reason-code rebuttal, an evidence index and paste-ready text within 12 hours, or a full refund of the US$49. A clear, complete response gives the reviewer what they need to judge your side.

Which payment processors does the pack fit?

The format fits the dispute forms used by Stripe, Shopify Payments and PayPal, which each accept written text plus file uploads. It also works for most other processors that take a rebuttal and attachments, though field names and file limits differ. Tell us your processor when you send the dispute so we size the text correctly.

What files should I send?

Send the dispute notice, the order confirmation, tracking with delivery confirmation, any customer emails or chat logs, and the refund or shipping policy shown at checkout. For fraud reason codes, add the IP address, device details and any earlier orders from the same customer. The more complete the set, the stronger the evidence index.

Why a flat fee instead of a percentage?

Some dispute services take a percentage of every amount they help return, often around a quarter. A flat US$49 per dispute costs less on most disputes over a couple of hundred dollars, and you know the full price before you start. There are no extra fees, subscriptions or store integrations to install.

Refunds

Full refund if we can't deliver: if we can't produce your pack, or it arrives later than the stated delivery time, you get all your money back. We don't control decisions made by other companies (for example a platform's review team or a card network), so the refund covers our delivery, not their decision.
